First Bank Financial Center

First Bank Financial Centre is a true hometown bank, with a vested interest in the communities they serve, and it wants its website to reflect that fact. FBFC was looking to create a unique site in its industry, to increase its potential audience and attract all demographics by creating a friendlier and more streamlined user experience. FBFB required integration with important online portals, to provide visitors with information and access. And a user-friendly content management system was also critical, as its staff needed the flexibility to make regular site updates.

First Bank Financial Centre now has a completely responsive website, with a modern, fresh look and feel. The updated website provides users with an intuitive user flow and content structure, allowing them to easily find the resources they need to more effectively manage their financial accounts. In keeping with FBFC’s emphasis on community involvement, my team made sure to incorporate community features into various elements of the website, focusing on FBFC’s values, such as the volunteer hours counter on its home page, its community involvement page, and its events calendar.

As a result of the diligent research, planning, development, and meticulous QA testing, in 2017 FBFC’s new website won a WebAward for website design from the Web Marketing Association. Based on user research and FBFC’s goals and opportunities uncovered during the discovery process, my team executed an extensive set of wireframes for both desktop and mobile, bringing online banking to them whenever, wherever. A unique feature of the site is the “About You” tool, allowing visitors to answer a few questions about their financial goals and receive FBFC’s recommendations for account types that suit their financial needs. They can then share that information with others, open accounts online, or contact branch managers with the particulars of their recommendation. On the whole, the new website design represents not only FBFC’s brand, but puts the focus on its users and their goals in order to achieve FBFC’s.
